Hey guys!! So sorry I’ve been MIA lately but I’m back to business now and ready to give you some ideas for quick and easy keto snacks and dishes for those of you short on time!
Now I know some people I’ve spoken to have been a bit skeptical about trying keto because they think it will take hours and hours of prep to follow it properly. I’m not going to lie there are some recipes that can take a while to make, but there are also some really quick and easy dishes for when you are in a rush.
Enough chat what are these quick dishes!!
Okay, okay I’m getting to it! Of course you have pretty basic snacks you could have like cheese, eggs, bacon, sausages etc. but if you fancy trying something different I’ve put together 4 of my favourite go to things below to give you some ideas! Have fun and let me know the results of anything you do try!!
Quick Keto Bread – So this is actually done in the microwave but that’s what makes it so fantastic as it only take about 90 seconds!! There is also another version called cloud bread which is made in the oven but is just as tasty as versatile.
Ingredients used for microwave recipe: Almond flour, Butter or Oil, 1 Egg and baking powder
Ingredients used for cloud bread: Eggs, Cream Cheese, Salt and Cream of Tartar
Mozzarella Dough – This is one of my favourites and if you are a cheese fanatic like me I’m sure you will love it as well! This dough is so versatile I’ve used it to make cheesy garlic bread and bagels so far, but it can also be used as a pizza base, pizza scrolls or anything else you can think of that you can think of!
Ingredients used: Grated or shredded mozzarella, Cream Cheese, Almond Flour, Eggs, Salt and possibly Baking Powder depending on what you are making.
Keto Muffins – These are another great quick snack! I absolutely suck at baking but I’ve manage to make blueberry keto muffins and I use them either for a quick breakfast or as a dessert and have them with double cream (An absolute fav of mine!) Of course you can use whatever flavoring you like, a friend of mine has made savoury muffins topped with almond flakes and they were yummy as well.
Ingredients used: Almond Flour, Heavy Whipping Cream (zero or low carb), Eggs, Melted Butter, Stevia, Baking Powder, Flavouring of choice eg. Blueberries & Lemon Zest
Keto Pancakes – These pancakes are so yummy and you can have them with savoury or sweet toppings as they take great with both. Watch out though they are very filling I can usually only manage two or three at a push! There cooked using the exact same method as regular pancakes so they are nice and quick! I’ve topped mine with a bit of lemon juice and truvia as well as bacon and a bit of butter, both tasted great!
Ingredients used: Almond Flour, Eggs, Cream Cheese, Lemon Zest
So there you have it! Four of my favorite go to quick keto dishes that I use a lot, the reason I love these is because you can make batches of things like the keto bread, cloud bread and muffins and just have them ready to chow down on if you are feeling peckish without going completely mad!
